Learn Pottery

By EverQuest NexusPublished March 21, 2026beginner

Pottery is an open tradeskill — any class, any race. You shape clay on a pottery wheel, then fire it in a kiln. It produces a surprisingly wide range of items: masks, charms, weapon augments, potion vials, cookie cutters for Baking, and Energeian Orbs.

Containers & Equipment

Pottery is unique among tradeskills: most recipes require two containers — a pottery wheel for shaping and a kiln for firing.

Key Recipes

Most pottery recipes follow a two-step process:

  1. Shape the item on the pottery wheel (clay + water + pattern)
  2. Fire the shaped item in the kiln

Some recipes are kiln-only, but these are less common. Vendor supplies are available in most cities with a pottery supply merchant.
