Tradeskill Trophy Quests

By EverQuest NexusPublished March 21, 2026intermediate

Tradeskill trophies are evolving items introduced in the Prophecy of Ro expansion that grant a percentage-based skill modifier to a specific tradeskill. At max rank they provide a 15% bonus — that's a significant edge on difficult combines. If you're serious about any tradeskill, the trophy should be near the top of your priority list.

How Trophies Work

Each trophy is an evolving item that progresses through seven ranks. Higher ranks unlock as your unmodified skill increases. The modifier applies as a percentage bonus to your effective skill.

RankTitleSkill RequiredModifier
1/7Beginner50–99+1%
2/7Apprentice100–149+2%
3/7Freshman150–199+4%
4/7Journeyman200–249+5%
5/7Expert250–299+8%
6/7Master300+12%
7/7Grandmaster+15%

Available Tradeskills

Trophies exist for eleven tradeskills: Alchemy, Baking, Brewing, Fletching, Jewelcraft, Make Poison, Pottery, Smithing, Spell Research, Tailoring, and Tinkering.

Getting Started

NPC: Event Coordinator Baublie Diggs Location: West Freeport

Minimum requirement: 50 unmodified skill in the tradeskill you want a trophy for.

Talk to Baublie Diggs and tell her which tradeskill you're interested in. She assigns a task appropriate to your current unmodified skill level — you don't get to pick the difficulty tier. The system reads your skill and gives you the matching rank quest automatically.

Completing the Quest

  1. Receive your task from Baublie Diggs — she'll list several items you need to craft
  2. Craft all the items on the list yourself (you must do the final combines personally)
  3. Deliver the finished items to Judge Marion Teld'mare in any order
  4. Receive a Scorecard from the Judge after all items are turned in
  5. Return the Scorecard to Baublie Diggs
  6. Receive your trophy and a certificate

Evolving Your Trophy

After earning the Beginner trophy, you evolve it to higher ranks as your skill increases:

  1. Equip the trophy in your primary inventory
  2. Place the certificate (received with the trophy) into the appropriate tradeskill container
  3. Perform a successful combine — the trophy advances one rank

The trophy can't advance beyond your current unmodified skill tier. If you're at 175 skill, the trophy maxes at Freshman (rank 3) until you reach 200+.

Evolution Constraints

  • Trophy rank cannot exceed your unmodified skill tier
  • Until you reach 250 skill, recipes used for evolution combines must be within 100 points of your skill level
  • Trophies evolve faster when your skill significantly surpasses the trophy's current rank
  • The trophy must be equipped during the combine for evolution to trigger

Master Rank Special Case

If you already have a trophy and are completing the Master-level quest (skill 300), show the existing trophy to Baublie Diggs (not the Judge) for verification before proceeding. This step is required for players upgrading rather than starting fresh.

Tips

  • Start early. You can begin at 50 skill. The Beginner trophy's 1% isn't much, but the evolution process is passive from there — just keep it equipped while you skill up.
  • Keep the certificate safe. You need it for every evolution combine. If you lose it, you'll need to redo the quest.
  • The modifier stacks with other bonuses. Trophy percentage applies to your base skill, which then stacks with other modifiers like Geerlok tools and AAs.
